2003-04-10 - 1:55 a.m. I sat down at a table a good distance from the bar. The people here know who I am and they like my sister, so, except for the stares and mumblings, they don't give me any trouble. After a few minutes my sister came out of the back and sat down in front of me. "Doug saw you talking to that girl outside. He doesn't want you buying her any alcohol. He doesn't care if she is of age, she doesn't drink in his bar." She said after a few minutes. "Listen Natalie, everyone has given this girl a hard time since she came here. Hell everyone here gives me a hard time. I just want to get to know the girl and extend some kind of olive branch of peace. If it's all right with Doug, we'll just sit here and have a few cokes and some cheese fries." She stood up as I finished talking. "I'll put the order in. Do you want me to get her, or are you going to?" She wrote the order down and looked at me, her green eyes shining in the dimly lit bar." "I was hoping she would follow me in, but I guess not." Just then the door opened and she walked in. I Wanna Be Sedated by the Ramones had just started on the jukebox, the sudden loudness of it made her jump, but she quickly recovered. She looked around the bar for me and I could see the uncomfort creep over her. Luckily Natalie got a hold of her before the fear did, and sent her to my table. Everyone stared at her as she came to my table. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked down, as if this would afford her some kind of protection from their gazes. "Just ignore them and have a seat. The manager won't let me buy you any alcohol, but he won't throw us out either." I said as she took the seat across from me. "I don't drink anyway. I just wanted a coke or something, but they wouldn't even acknowledge me. I feel kinda lucky that that waitress pointed me over to you. I'm Nikki by the way." She extended her hand over the table to me, bracelets dangling and rings shining. I reached out and firmly shook her hand, she shrunk back slightly at the up close sight of my scars. "The waitress was my sister, Natalie. We were talking before you came in and I asked her to send you over. Oh yeah, my name is Seven."
