2004-12-13 - 1:21 p.m. "Not good is an understatement young man. My hands control the fire of purification and the waters of redemption; those who are evil are destroyed at my hands." Serge moved around me changing his fighting pose with every step. "Oh great, now you're going to say I'm evil because I'm trying to stop Cyrus and I'm going to say you're evil because you're working for Cyrus and we'll get no where here because evil is a concept that just screws with peoples heads." I stepped towards him; away from Nikki. "Foolish boy, it does not matter what you think evil is or even what I think evil is, it only matters what is in your soul." He lunged at me with the water hand, but I ducked and landed a shot to his stomach. "We could get into a philosophical discussion about the nature of the human soul and evil and all that, but perhaps at a later date." I went in low trying for another body shot, but he spun around me and landed a shot to my back with the fire hand's forearm. He didn't say anything, just grunted in agreement, and went back into his fighting stance. I swung with my right, which he blocked. I noticed that our arms weren't really even touching; it must have been the armor that Nikki had put on me. While I was staring at the armor he landed a shot to my chest with the fire hand; it didn't feel hot, but that could have been the armor too. We danced back and forth, exchanging blocks and blows; neither one of us really gaining the advantage. He was in better shape than I was; I was breathing heavy and all my limbs felt like lead, but he seemed to be fine, as if we had just started. As we fought on and I grew tired my reflexes slowed and I took a few shots to the face and head from the water hand. It was strange, but the water hand felt warmer than the fire hand had. Perhaps because I didn't need to be purified, only redeemed. I blocked his next shot with the fire hand and spun under him, kicking him in the left knee; the one I dislocated before. He grunted in pain and stumbled back, but didn't go down. I knew I had a weakness I could attack and exploit now, but it wouldn't be easy.
